Book Aid International increases access to books and supports literacy, education and development in sub-Saharan Africa (http://www.bookaid.org/). A collaboration with this charity could extend the scope of the Festival in fun and fascinating ways - as well as raising the profile of the charity's work in parts of the world where books are, for now, still scarce.

Brilliant idea, and with lots of scope for educational projects for children.

What a terrific idea. Book Aid International does a wonderful job and makes a real difference to the lives of young people in Africa. It is just the sort of thing that the International Book Festival should be associated with.
