What if there were self-service Half Price ticket terminals throughout the city where you can buy discounted shows for any particular time bracket?

Or a way to integrate this into phone apps so that it wouldn't matter where you were. There are already a few phone app discussions on this site though, so I'm not proposing another!

I also recognise that not everyone carries such technology around with them. Perhaps if venue box offices were able to make it more clear which shows had reduced price tickets, perhaps tying this to availability at the Half Price Hut in some way?

Yes, I just hate that it takes 5 minutes for the screens at the Half Price Hut to scroll around to the time frame I'm interested in and when it finally does it is only there for about 20 seconds...not enough time at all to look up shows in the Fringe book to see what they're about.
I'd love if the terminals had an info button next to each show which correlates to respective show's blurb in the Fringe book.
And you're right, not everyone has a smart phone to utilise mobile apps. Also, 10,000s of people in Edinburgh at Fringe time are not even from this country so might not be able to use these apps...good to include these guys too! :o)
